The electric car designer and maker, Tesla has had to head back to the drawing board with the Model S and Model X vehicles after faults found within their batteries, following the incident of a parked tesla spontaneously setting alight which parked in hong kong.

Tesla has now reported that they will be and are investigating this incident ‘ with an abundance of caution. The high-end carmaker issued this statement “As we continue our investigation of the root cause… we are revising charge and thermal management settings on Model S and Model X vehicles via an over-the-air software update that will begin rolling out today, to help further protect the battery and improve battery longevity.” The Tesla spokesman as made reference to the incident on Hong Kong and did mention the on behalf of them they are “glad that everyone is safe.”

With these vehicles spontaneously combusting very much publicly with videos posted on Facebook, we hope Tesla can move forward and get these issue fixed and protected.

Tesla has also made statements of job cuts in the last few months of up to 7% of its workforce after the hardest year in Tesla’s business history this is all because of a reported loss of $702M for only the first quarter of the year. In addition to all of them, they are expected to crash yet another loss next quarter too.
